Jenny began practicing yoga in 2007 as a way to exercise. She quickly realized that yoga was not just about the physical asana (poses) but so much more. The ability to breathe, quiet the mind, and find peace in challenging poses began to transfer off the mat and impact her approach to life in a remarkable way.


The flexibility and openness cultivated in her yoga practice allowed Jenny to loosen the grip on expectation and relax into the flow of life. She is deeply committed to sharing yoga and mindfulness practices with others so they can learn concrete ways for understanding their minds and bodies in order to live their best life.


Jenny encourages her students to listen to their bodies. She applauds students working to find their edge, even when that edge means just showing up on the mat that day and remaining in child’s pose for the duration of class. The true yogi is not the one that can stand on her head, but the one who can meet any life situation with acceptance, peace, and compassion.


She completed her 200 hour teacher training in 2013 at Om On Yoga in Richmond, VA and is a 200 RYT with Yoga Alliance. She serves as an Ambassador for Project Yoga Richmond, a non-profit organization working to make yoga accessible to all populations.


When not practicing or teaching, Jenny can be found reading about yoga, meditation, and mindfulness as well as researching brain and body connections. She is passionate about creative endeavors, such as writing and art, embarking on culinary adventures, dancing to live music and raising her two children, the greatest spiritual teachers of her life.

Mindfulasana is a dynamic yoga class that greatly enhances the ability to focus under stress and pressure, calm the mind, and relax the body by developing the ability to stay in the present moment. The asana (poses) utilized in this class build strength and flexibility, hone focusing capabilities, and develop keener decision making skills using breath and body awareness techniques. Mindfulasana is a creative and engaging way to learn tools that promote a lifetime of emotional, mental, and physical health that extend way beyond the yoga mat.
